The next LBS meeting will be Tuesday, November 18, 7:00 PM, at the Baton Rouge Garden Center, 7950 Independence Blvd.  Congratulations to Dawn Koetting for having a bonsai accepted for the Fourth Annual U. S. National Bonsai Show sponsored by International Bonsai Magazine.  Dawn will do a slide presentation of the show at the meeting.  You will see some very interesting bonsai pictures.

Start your own bonsai and learn basic bonsai styles, how to water and fertilize.  Get hands on training on pruning bonsai, bonsai tree styling, making bonsai soil, potting bonsai, and selecting a suitable bonsai pot.

April 25, 12:00 - 2:00 pm - Bonsai Workshop – Improving Your Bonsai.  Continuing development of your bonsai.

March, 21 and 28, 12:00 to 2:00 pm – Bonsai Workshop – Advance Bonsai Techniques, Learn how to develop more advanced bonsai design and styling such as root-over-rock, fusion grafting, etc.

2014 Fall Bonsai Show this Weekend

LBS will have their annual Fall Bonsai Show November 1 and 2, 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Baton Rouge Center, 7950 Independence Blvd, and with a bonsai lecture/demo a 2:00 both days.  Club members will have many bonsai on display and some bonsai for sale.  Admission is FREE.  They will also have bonsai raffle.

October Meeting - Special Bonsai Workshop

Annual Louisiana Bonsai Society Spring Show 

The bonsai show will be Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, at the Baton Rouge Botanical Garden at Independence Park, 7950 Independence Blvd. Admission is FREE. The Bonsai show will have about 50 to 100 bonsai specimen developed by Louisiana Bonsai Society members.
